What is co Poisoning?

Carbon monoxide poisoning occurs when carbon monoxide builds up in your bloodstream by binding to the hemoglobin in your body.  This action prevents oxygen from being transported to critical processes and essential organs in the body. Prolonged exposure to high concentrations of CO can lead to serious tissue damage, or even death. Click on the molecule icon above for more information.
