Bill, Ross, Keegan, and Liam represent the best of us. The C.O. Foundation is our answer to their tragic deaths. We are committed to the proposition that Carbon Monoxide related deaths can and should be prevented. We refuse to allow the discussion to stop. We will lead the way in educating others about the dangers of Carbon Monoxide. We are motivated to ensure this silent killer never takes another life. We recognize that together we can prevent Carbon Monoxide deaths. Our inspiration was and remains Bill, Ross, Keegan and Liam. It is our hope that as you come to know them you too will be inspired to ensure that no more lives are lost to this silent killer.
We Believe Families Can be Forever
This gospel truth gives the families of William "Bill" Bart Parrish, Catherine Evette Ross Parrish, Keegan Field Parrish, and Liam Bart Parrish tremendous hope. On February 22, 2014 together they returned to their Heavenly Father. Their death caused by the silent killer Carbon Monoxide, could have been prevented. Their remaining two children, Ian and Jensen, were spared the same fate as their beloved family as they then serving LDS missions. Their families are comforted by the knowledge that they will one day be united with their mother, father. younger brothers, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt and cousins.
William (Bill) Bart Parrish
June 15, 1966 - February 22, 2014 Dr. William "Bill" Bart Parrish, was born June 15, 1966 in Pocatello, Idaho; the only son of the late Bart Parrish and Becky Parrish Robinson. Bill attended school at Hawthorne Jr. High and Highland High School. He was involved in sports and student government and made many lifelong friends. Bill attended Ricks College on a full ride Basketball scholarship. He also attended Brigham Young University, Idaho State University, and Creighton University. He was a natural leader. He used that ability to lead others to greatness. Bill held numerous leadership positions. He served an LDS Mission in the New York, New York mission, was actively involved in the Lions Club, and the LDS church, and served in the Bishopric and Young Men's Presidency of the Highland Stake 1st ward. Bill was a dentist on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps. Bill's father in law, said of him "Bill is a worthy priesthood holder he led his family perfectly, he saw the "good" in everyone." From the time Bill was very young he was driven to excel. He expected a lot of himself and was always obedient. Those who knew Bill, knew him to be an example of Christ like behavior. Bill was fun loving and his laughter was infectious. He was happiest in the presence of his sweet wife Ross, his eternal companion. They complimented each other. Bill found tremendous joy in his children. He deserves every praise and more that will be spoken of him. Bill is survived by his grandfather Bill Matthew, mother, Becky Parrish Robinson, his step-father, Bill Robinson, his sisters Michelle Pincock, Kristi Curtis, Carri Curtis, his brother's in-law, Ferron Pincock, Brad Curtis and Brian Curtis his many nieces and nephews and cousins. Our lives do not begin and end here, though your deaths were tragic and unexpected, your lives are testimony to the fact that our existence is but a hiccup in eternity. Families are forever Bill, Ross, Keegan, and Liam we are grateful to have known, loved, and learned from you we look forward to rejoining you in eternity. Your family legacy lives on in Jensen and Ian. |
Catherine Evette Ross Parrish
November 19, 1967 - February 22, 2014 Catherine Evette Ross Parrish, known as Ross to many of her family and friends, was born November 19, 1967 in Paddington, London, England, the daughter of Carole and Carlton Ross. Ross is the eldest of eight children. As a little girl she loved playing "mother" to her little brother and sisters. They remember her at the age of eight, "dressing them up" to take them to the zoo. She set an example for her siblings on how to live both the gospel and their lives fully. Much of what they are is a result of her love. Ross attended school in both England and Canada. She studied Elementary education at Ricks College. Friendly and beautiful Ross was a social butterfly; she loved everyone and was inclusive in her friendships. In 1989 Ross met and married the love of her life, Bill Parrish. She always put the needs of those she loved ahead of her own; therefore when her husband chose to study dentistry in Nebraska, she dropped her studies to help him pursue his dream. In 1992 Ross and Bill were blessed with their first child, a beautiful little girl Jensen Rebecca, and in quick succession their precious son Ian William. Ross blossomed in her role as a mother. Her home was a place of refuge for both her children and their friends. She relished making her home a heaven on earth. A strong, loving woman Ross's family came first; she lived her life for her husband and her family. Her life was made complete with the birth of her son's Keegan and Liam. Ross's best friends were her sister in laws, said her mother in law of her "I could not love her more than if she were my own". Ross faithfully served in the Young Women's and Primary presidency of the Highland Stake first ward. Ross was a beacon of light to all who knew her. - |
Keegan Field Parrish
April 22, 1999 - February 22, 2014 Keegan Field Parrish was born April, 22, 1999 in Pocatello, Idaho. Keegan attended school at Gate City Elementary, Franklin Jr. High and at the time of his death was a proud freshman at his father's alma mater, Highland High School. He loved playing Basketball and golf, both for the joy of the game and the friends he made on the court and on the course. Keegan loved spending time with his cousins. They were some of his best friends. Keegan was a confident young man who began his service to others early in his life. He proudly served in the Aaronic priesthood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Those who knew him will testify that he always had a smile on his face. It has been said of him that "He was one of the most popular boys in his school. He loved everyone and they loved him in return." He touched the lives of all who knew him. For one whose life was so short, his love and example will have an eternal impact If Keegan were to have a motto that fit his personality, it would be “Don’t worry, be happy!” Keegan always had a smile on his face, and a goal to achieve. He had the gift of working hard to become the best! If he ever felt that he wasn’t his best at something, whether that was basketball, golf, tumbling, or piano, he would practice for hours until he reached perfection! He was a very active child, and was also away from home a lot, being with friends or being involved in an extracurricular activity. Keegan loved people. It didn’t matter how old or young a person was; Keegan would connect with people instantly. He got to know a lot of people in his grade, and consequently, had a considerably large friend group that seemed to always grow for him. He was the kind of boy who could make any person feel like they were the most important person in the world. Often, Keegan would take time to talk to people one on one, even if it was only for a minute or two, to let them know that he cared and wanted to know what was going on in their lives. Much like his parents, Keegan was a spiritual giant! He loved scouts, being involved in the Young Men group within his church, seminary, and being with his family. He would try his best to exemplify Christ’s example. |
Liam Bart Parrish
February 13, 2002 - February 22, 2014 Liam Bart Parrish, was born February, 13, 2002, in Pocatello Idaho. Liam attended school at Gate City Elementary and was in sixth grade at Franklin Middle School. Liam was the baby of the family and thus was blessed to spend more one-on-one time with his mother as result they shared a special bond. Liam was a strikingly beautiful child. He was charming, polite, gentle, and kind. He loved basketball, football, Legos, reading, his friends and hanging out with his cousins. Liam idolized his older brothers and sister, and aspired to be like them. Liam was a reserved boy, until you really got to know him. Then, he would become a fun adventurous child! He loved being with his best friends, which included friends from his class and cousins. If they weren’t at the Parrish home, he was at one of his friend’s home. He loved to play outside, build with Legos, play on the Wii, watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and read. Liam also had a lot of wit. As a reserved kid, it was often funny when he would make a witty remark about something that was going on. Though he would say things with a straight face, it was common to see a twinkle in his eye when others would find his remarks humorous. Liam loved his family, and was especially close to his mother, Catherine “Ross” Parrish. The other children would often joke, “Liam is the favorite!” To which, Ross would jokingly answer, “Yup! He sure is!” Liam had just turned 12 years old the week before he passed away, which meant that he would be passing the sacrament in the LDS church. Liam was looking forward to that day. He died the night before he was able to. He enjoyed Scouts, primary and was looking forward to joining Young Men group in the LDS church. Liam was a good boy who strived to do what was right. |
